BBA: Strategies for Success in a Multigenerational Workforce

  • Boston Bar Association 16 Beacon Street Boston, MA, 02108 United States (map)

One of the most difficult challenges facing attorneys today is the ability to work effectively across varying generations in the firm. As Millennials are increasingly present in today's workforce, cultural and professional dynamics have shifted. The BBA's Recently Elected Partners Forum is thrilled to welcome BBA Past President, Lauren Stiller Rikleen, a nationally-recognized expert on developing a thriving, diverse, and multigenerational workforce. Lauren will offer insights and practical tips on topics such as how to bridge the gap across generations and adaptations firms may consider to embrace changing demographics and to foster thoughtful communication, inclusiveness, and overall success.

A former equity partner at Bowditch & Dewey, LLP, Lauren launched the Rikleen Institute for Strategic Leadership to help businesses and other organizations create a culture where their professionals can advance and flourish. She brings to each engagement more than two decades of experience as a law firm partner, mediator, and professional and community leader.

Lauren is the author of You Raised Us - Now Work With Us: Millennials, Career Success, and Building Strong Workplace Teams. Her book provides new insights and rebuts old stereotypes about Millennials, offering practical recommendations for all generations to strengthen workplace relationships and promote organizational excellence. Attendees of this program will receive a complimentary copy of this widely-acclaimed book.

Immediately following the program, there will be a networking reception. Beer, wine, and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
