From the BBA:
Learn about how the President’s recently issued Executive Orders could impact different areas of immigration law, and hear about important updates to immigration law that took place in 2016. This CLE will provide attendees with an overview of the change and will point them toward appropriate resources to use in order to keep up to date as things continue to change going forward.
The following areas of immigration law will be addressed: business immigration; family-based immigration (specifically consular processing and waiver applications); and the crossover between immigration and criminal law referred to as “crimmigration.”
In the wake of the presidential election, there has been a large surge in interest among lawyers who practice other types of law to find out more about immigration law and how they might be able to get involved. To help connect those interested in immigration law with seasoned practitioners, there will be a cocktail hour immediately following the program to allow attendees to mingle, learn more about the practice of immigration law, and find out the most useful ways to get involved.
