The training will cover immigration law basics and immigration detention, and focus on how to assist clients gain release from detention by requesting bond from an immigration judge. You'll learn the basics of eligibility, gathering documents, how to present a case, and post-grant procedures.
Attorneys and law students from all backgrounds and skill levels may attend. No prior immigration law knowledge is required.
After the program, you'll have the chance to volunteer with the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation Project (PAIR).
