BBA: Challenges to Immigration Executive Orders

  • Boston Bar Association 16 Beacon Street Boston, MA, 02108 United States (map)

From the BBA:

As monumental struggles for legal protections are unfolding in diverse communities across the country, Boston-based lawyers are in the trenches holding the federal government accountable. The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Economic Justice and the American Civil Liberties Union are two of the organizations that recently sued the Trump administration to challenge the constitutionality of various Executive Orders, including the Muslim ban and threats to sanctuary cities. Lawyers leading these efforts will provide an update of recent legal challenges, discuss the rapidly changing federal landscape, and explore strategies and techniques for sustaining and deepening campaigns for greater social justice.
